The PSA certified 2022 Security Report uncovered unique insights into the state of IoT security, the trends, the impact of the pandemic and the barriers to adoption.
More About the Report
A key challenge for the year ahead – and indeed the coming decade – will be to secure the IoT. This decade is shaping up to be digital-first and will be reliant on the proliferation of connected devices to support it as it undergoes continuous and rapid digital transformation.
The industry at large is showing an almost universal readiness towards making the IoT a secure ecosystem. For this to happen, the Root of Trust and trusted components will shift the way users and manufacturers interact, threat modeling will no longer be seen as a burden to those that need to pay for it, and crucially, the cost of IoT security will be greatly reduced, as the benefits continue to outweigh the costs. As IoT security becomes accessible and democratized, so too will its importance in 2022 and ahead grow.
